Selling an Aircraft is a Process

Selling aircraft for our clients involves much more than just listing the aircraft and waiting for something to happen. A proper sale effort requires a comprehensive, proactive approach, and Safe Journeys Aviation delivers just that. We pay close attention to all phases of the sale effort, and we do it in keeping with a process we believe best suits the operator.

The first step (and all steps that follow) includes conversations with the client to understand their needs and goals. Combining this information with extensive research of the market, the Safe Journeys Aviation team works to set realistic expectations of price, timing, and other considerations important to the client.

Once the goals are set, we get to work putting together a marketing program designed to maximize the aircraft’s visibility in the marketplace, and we work to expose the aircraft both to brokers and the general public. By using a combination of professional photography, videos, custom presentation packets and years of experience, we make sure the aircraft turns as many heads as possible. As we advertise the aircraft in magazines and on all key internet sites, our goal is to separate the aircraft from the pack and create an air of excitement around it.

Perhaps the key difference between Safe Journeys Aviation and others is our commitment to be personally involved in all phases of the sale process. Some examples of this are:

– hosting visits from interested parties

– handling all negotiations related to offer letters and purchase agreements

– overseeing the interactions between buyer, seller, legal and tax counsel

– being on-site for the key events in the pre-purchase inspection

– ensuring all closing paperwork is in place

After the closing is complete, we’re still available any time to answer questions or resolve any outstanding issues. Since we care more about the relationship than ‘doing a deal’, we consider a successful transaction to be an enhancement of a long-term relationship and friendship.
